Everything was super fresh—from the beautifully marbled meats to the crisp veggies and flavorful broth. Loved the thoughtful presentation (even the tofu had their logo!) and the variety offered. Great service, clean setup, and overall a delicious, satisfying meal. Will definitely be back!

First time here and everything about the experience was good. We were sat down immediately and given an explanation of the menu. The food came out quickly and in a nice presentation. Definitely will be recommending and coming back.

Meat quality is top tier. The marbling is great. Also didn’t realize they had ice cream- Thai tea was great! Service is always nice, and you pretty much get two meals as we always have leftovers

Mokkoji is an absolute gem! The hot pot broth is incredibly delicious rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The restaurant is spotless and has a modern, welcoming atmosphere. What really stood out was the high quality, premium Wagyu beef melt in your mouth perfection. Everything was fresh and top notch. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium hot pot experience!

Finally got to try this Sukiyaki place, I saw so many people recommend it. My friend and I chose a weekday to have dinner here about 5:30pm, no need to wait, the space is open, clean and well-designed. I like the wide open style. The menu is kinda complicated, but the waiter explained pretty well, we ordered two different bases for the hotpot, one is sukiyaki, one is spicy chicken soup. Both of them are pretty flavorful, but of course, I think sukiyaki is more my preference, especially with a raw egg dipping sauce. Other than the raw egg, they also offer sesame and ponzu dipping which is similar with MOMO Paradise. We ordered 3 meat combo plus a Toro fatty belly beef plate, the 3 meat combo we chose one Kataroshin Wagyu beef, one pork belly and one lamb. They offer unlimited veggies for free. I think the best for both of us is the Toro fatty belly, which is even better than the Wagyu beef, then the pork belly is good. Lamb is somehow too lean. The experience is pretty nice and service is quick and friendly. It’s about $50 per person, probably I’ll come back again.

Amazing dinner at Mokkoji Shabu Shabu Bar in Mira Mesa! For those of you who don’t know Shabu Shabu is Japanese hot pot. We ordered the surf & turf set sampler for two and chose the seafood platter with lobster, salmon, scallop, shrimp and ordered the New York cut for beef. It also comes with a garlic shrimp appetizer. Everything tasted incredible. Great vibe and atmosphere, all the staff were very friendly and accommodating with our questions, and the food comes quickly. Recommend!
